My experience with Carolyn and Fortitude has been wonderful. The horses go out in lush, green pastures and always have hay and immaculate stalls. The guys are wonderful and caring. Carolyn is a supportive, kind trainer and truly LOVES the horses and puts them first each and every day. This creates a happy, supportive barn environment with happy, lovely horses. And we’re all having great show success from beginners to advanced riders. It’s awesome and I appreciate all the hard work, patience and kindness they show each and every day.

This barn has by far been the best barn i have ever ridden at. The people here are so friendly and Carolyn especially has made such an amazing impact on my riding. Carolyn found me the most amazing, gentle, kind souled, brave, BOMBPROOF horse there is (she is the queen matchmaker), and her teaching has made me improve as a rider so incredibly much. I have been so pleased at this barn and with Carolyn’s effort to make her riders and horses stars. Her pastures are so flat and grassy green, her facility is SO nice and peaceful, and her training rides are so amazing as well. Carolyn puts 110% into her clients and horses. When i first came to this barn i had been doing short stirrup, and over this past 1 1/2 years with Carolyn, i am now jumping around 3’ and 3’3 courses. if you are considering going to fortitude farm, DO IT!!

I have ridden with her for almost 5 years and have never once had a bad experience. she has trained me to be the best rider possible. i went from barely able to doing cross rails to 3"0-3"3 courses. she has found 3 ponies and horses for me and i can’t say better things about her. she imported my horse and i can’t say enough good things about my brave, honest, fancy, sweet, loving horse. the facility is gorgeous with the prettiest pastures you can imagine with green grass. the horses love the farm and carolyn so much. showing with her is always an amazing experience. horses get a perfect amount of pasture time and amazing training rides. carolyn is a extremely talented rider and trainer. if you are thinking of moving to fortitude farm definitely do!

I don't know what's happened here. I see all these wonderful reviews but when I had my horse boarded here, there always seemed to be half truths about turn out. The aesthetic of the pastures were always more important than the horses. In return, the horses are aced to calm down and do good for training rides. The employees do a great job with stalls, hay, grain, and water but the owner doesn't seem to make the horses or her employees a priority. My horse had multiple spur rubs covered with Corona during my last visit. I overheard the owner telling one of the staff "lunge till dead" and "burn the horse out until its good to go for the client." And I had to get my horse out of there. I boarded him there for less than a year and I knew that if he spent another year there, I wouldn't have him anymore.

If anyone has any interest in boarding your horse here, DONT. Carolyn cares more about the image of this facility than she does about a clients horse. The turnout times are incredibly too short, roughly a couple hours. She cares more about how green the pastures are versus how much activity the horses get. Clients horses are Aced before training rides to ensure they are easier to ride, which is unethical and wrong. She does not believe in belly bands, and has on multiple occasions caused bleeding to horses. Stay FAR away if you care for your horse
