Topeka Livestock Auction

Took some friends to the Draft Horse Auction on Oct 31st. The facility is very nice. There is two separate barns set up for viewing prior to the auction. The main arena is set up with bleachers on two sides like you’d imagine and there was room for sales booths and two different areas to get food. One of which had seating and tables.

I like horses, not a big fan of horse auctions. We did pretty good though. I thought the food was a bit expensive, but I guess if your spending 90,000 on a horse you should have no problem spending ten bucks for a burger.

Bought our mare Mariska from Topeka Livestock Auction in the fall of 2024 and everyone from the auctioneers to the assistants, the ringmen etc were very nice and we loved it. Want to come back to another sale

Wow we did a food vendor spot there. I love it. No Flys flying around. Surprisingly no horse poop smell. It was very clean. Thanks hopefully we will be back again.

Awesome to find deals on antiques, livestock, or Carriages. Love to hear the auctioneers droning their prices as they climb skyward. Awesome restaurant next to auction house for good food. Chicken I ate was walking around that morning it tasted that fresh! The old fashioned hardware store in town is a gem too!
