Vin Hesten Trail Rides

We went on the private sunset ride tonite for our 36th anniversary. We had a great guide and great horses. Wish I could post pics here Our first scheduled ride was cancelled due to heavy rain but we were able to reschedule right away for a week later. It was no problem and our ride was most enjoyable. Great place.

Cole was such an AMAZING tour guide and explained instructions with ease. His personality was easy going and outgoing and helped with any new beginner scares. The owner herself was very friendly and aloud us to have such a great experience i’d recommend them again and again, the wine tasting was beautiful at the end too! The horses were great too, so easy going!

I had a wonderful horseback riding experience! 🐴 The tour guide Cole was knowledgeable and did a great job explaining everything, which made the ride both fun and educational. The only downside was the restroom facilities.. the porta potty was in very poor condition and definitely needs improvement. Addressing this would make the overall experience perfect.

I had the most incredible first-time horseback riding experience! It was incredibly important to me to have a positive experience, as I was a bit nervous at first. Thanks to our amazing guide, Cole, my fear melted away. Riding through an actual forest was an unexpected delight, and it added a whole new layer of adventure to our ride. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable and fear-conquering adventure!

Dusty did a great job preparing us for the ride getting acquainted with our bourse and visa versa - the trail was absolutely gorgeous woods, didn’t feel like you were in desert So. Cali at all. Horses were well behaved and taken care of, absolutely recommend this place for a nice relaxing leisure ride with fantastic scenery and friendly staff 👍👍

We booked the 1.5 hour tour. The first 30 minutes was spent going over how to handle your horse. Its good information to have, however that time should not come out of the 1.5 hour ride time. It's misleading. 80% of the "trails" we went through were right along the side of the road, so we werent seeing anything different than we would have just driving down the road. Also, along those portions of the ride we were getting smacked in the face by tree branches constantly. The horses also kind of seemed like they were having a really hard time. They kept slipping, mine kept limping, and they were walking much slower than any horseback ride I've ever been on. Edit: To address the owners comment, I was there Tuesday morning at 9:30 am with the last name Work. My mother and I were the only ones on that tour. But thanks for the rude response. Oh, and on top of everything else.. we had to sign a waver saying we were given helmets, yet we were never even offered helmets.

My husband and I were gifted a date night through Virgin Experiences by his parents for Christmas and we finally got around to choosing our experience. We are very happy that we chose to go with Ven Hesten Trail Rides. We have been wanting to ride for years and this gave us the opportunity. Sam was our host and she was amazing! She put us on Ranger and Mega to ride and they were wonderful horses. The trail runs through the oaks on the property which kept us cool as it was a warm day. I have little mini legs (vertically challenged) and still managed to ride Ranger well. As stated, it is a working ranch. Do not expect frills. There is an outhouse. Sunny, the bucking bronco met us as we parked and came straight up to meet my husband. He was penned. All in all, a fabulous morning.
