F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Horse Rescue and Sanctuary

Excelente Day !!

Recently attended animal day which was a lot of family fun. FHRS invest time in caring for their rescues. Employees (especially Collin) are knowledgeable for any questions you may have. Definitely will return.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and had my horse to take care of , it became too much for me especially after radiation. I had to make a decision on him and his care , I foundFriends and made the call , they accepted him right away . Im so very thankful they took my boy. I have visited a few time but its too hard now due to my Illness. Thank you so much !

One day out of the blue, I decided to email this organization to be a volunteer. Debbie welcomed me. After the first visit itself, I could tell this was the best decision of my life. If you like horses or farm animals, of course you’re going to be in heaven at this rescue. If you do not have experience with horses or farm animals, you’ll find your heaven here. Trust me on this. I started volunteering only one day a week and immediately started going more often per week. Sure, the animals make me keep coming back. But I actually attribute my dedication to and my experience at this place to the people volunteering there. Bobby is an amazing person that I consider my friend nowadays. Every other volunteer that I’ve worked with, are just phenomenal people. There are some volunteers who come every single week, rain, or shine. You’ll meet them, and you’ll fall in love with them. Bobby is a kind, generous, friendly, stoic, man that still knows how to laugh. You’ll love him. Yes, it is not a petting zoo. But you can find your mindfulness / meditative peace in mocking stalls, dumping buckets, laying out hay, feeding the animals, grooming, etc. This is my heaven, and I’m getting too attached to it. Just come, volunteer for a day, get used to the hard work, and you will fall in love with your experience. I guarantee it

Visited this place and WOW! Amazing horses who deserve to be there and NOT as a working horse, a pet, AND to never be abused/neglected EVER AGAIN!. Such Angels!!!❤️💝🐴.

Excellent place ! Horses are healthy , stalls are clean and they are enjoying there Retirement !

I was a member of Friends for 9 years and adopted a horse there - and I loved him dearly until the day he passed at 32 years old. Debbie Beye has devoted her life to this ranch and the well being of these beautiful horses, pigs, goats and deserves an award for her tireless efforts as an animal advocate. She is the most dedicated lady I know when it comes to animal rights and has followed in her grandmother's footsteps to carry out her wishes to keep this ranch going since the 70's. There should be more people in the world like Debbie - she is truly one of a kind.
