Blevins Farms

My husband arrived about 20 minutes before closing, prepared to spend $300+ on hay. We were told they could only sell 5–10 bales because it would be "unfair" to have employees load hay at 5:40 pm. I’ve worked in customer service for over 20 years, and this was disappointing. Loading hay is part of the job, that’s why employees are hired and paid. I understand it was close to closing time, but turning away a significant sale sends the message that customer service is not a priority. What made this more frustrating is that we consistently tip the hay loaders because we appreciate their hard work. We value small businesses and want to support them, but refusing to sell available product when customers are ready to purchase reflects poorly on the business. Unfortunately, this experience cost Blevins Hay Farms a substantial sale and left us questioning whether our business is valued. It’s worth your time & money to go to "The Hay Barn" off of iron wood and ranch road. There is typically only one hay loader that will wait until closing AND load you in the rain. I wish we would’ve directed our time at the hay barn, we would’ve been taking care of there.

I've been buying hay in the valley for 35 yrs. I can honestly say that Scott Blevins has provided us with some of the best quality hay we have had. We have been buying from him for a number of years now and he has never disappointed. He is professional, courteous and has awesome hay. I would highly recommend Blevins Farm.

I have been a customer for over 3 years and have purchased squeezes of Teff hay and many bales of Alfalfa. I have been very satisfied with the quality of the hay and I really appreciate the great service from the guys who load the hay into my trailer. They have always been very helpful and courteous. I have been purchasing squeezes of hay, Alfalfa, Bermuda and Teff, consistently from Scott Blevins for over 5 years. His quality of hay is fabulous. His service to get you a squeeze delivered right to your residence is timely and professional. I highly recommend using Blevins Farms if you are buying hay by the squeeze.

Normally I’d leave a better review…but I had previously been told not to support this supplier due to customer service and quality of hay; however, I hadn’t encountered either until this evening. I have previously should up right before closing hours ( just before 6pm) and the guys have still loaded my hay, but not tonight. Jason said nope we close at 6pm. I said ok, it’s 5:56. He said well we’re closed. I asked if they didn’t gave someone there to take payment or they closed early. He said we have to clean up. He continued to argue with me and asked what time is it now ma’am? I said 5:58pm he said well we’re closed as I told the last person that came before you! He encouraged me to call his boss. It’s not like a was filling a flatbed full of hay. I usually by 4 bails a month. I called the boss….lets see if a call is returned. Scott Blevins, you should adjust your hours if your employees don’t work up until closing especially when I adjust my schedule to make it on time. I’m extremely disappointed with the young employee today, not sure I’ll be back.
