Blue Water Ranch

Blue Water Ranch owner "Maui" provided a wonderful horseback experience for us. Our horses, Stella and Benji, are phenomenally cared for (something that really matters to us occasional horseback riders). Maui shared interesting stories and knows a lot about the area. The tree-lined hour ride provided intermittent shade relief from the summer sun. We're definitely interested in going on future trail rides that Maui described once the creek water from this year's frequent rains dries making it safe for the horses.

Wonderful Horseback Riding Experience with Maui! My partner and I recently enjoyed a delightful one-hour horseback ride with Maui, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and excited for the adventure ahead. Maui, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. We had a great time getting to know him. The small group setting made the ride even more enjoyable, allowing us to interact closely with Maui and the horses. Before the ride, we had the chance to feed the horses some carrots and learn the basics of horseback riding. This was a fantastic touch that helped us feel more comfortable and connected with our horses. The horses themselves were very well taken care of, which added to the overall positive experience. The ride itself was short and sweet, perfect for beginners or those looking for a quick adventure. However, we had such a great time that we’re considering opting for a longer ride next time to extend the fun! A few tips for future riders: make sure to wear sunscreen, and while shorts are okay for the short ride, longer pants might be more comfortable. Overall, we had an amazing time and highly recommend this horseback riding experience with Maui. We would definitely go again!

We had a wonderful time and Maui was a knowledgeable guide. He pointed out all the different wildlife and foliage the horses like to eat. Benji and Stella were very calm and easy to handle. Loved the scenery and points of interest. Would highly recommend doing this.

Blue Water Ranch is absolutely AMAZING! I recently started taken lessons and have loved every minute of it. The horses are so beautiful and very kind hearted! The owners Paola and Maui are equally amazing. Very sweet couple who encourage all levels of riders. Highly recommend Blue Water Ranch to anyone who wants to learn how to ride or would enjoy a great trail ride. Very beautiful views and overall great experience 🙂

Blue Water Ranch has become a wonderful experience for me almost weekly. 1 1/2 years ago my amazing time started with Paola in the arena with her private lessons. She is a great trainer for all levels of riding and age groups. Next, I was off to explore the awesome and scenic trails with Maurizio. I feel very lucky to have experienced riding 3 of their well trained and gentle horses. I am looking forward to my next ride @ Blue Water Ranch.

We enjoyed our trail ride today at Blue Water Ranch! The horses were calm, the trail was adventurous, the guide was outstanding! I would highly recommend this ranch!

We signed my 8 year old daughter up for a riding lesson after she wrote to Santa requesting a horse ride as her Christmas wish. Our experience was incredible from start to finish! Maui and his wife Paola were so welcoming, kind, and encouraging with my daughter. Maui began our lesson with horse safety, etiquette, and care. My daughter was walked through each step of preparing her horse (Stella) for their ride, and why each step is needed/important. Both my daughter and her younger sister were invited to feed, brush, and pet Stella. We then walked over to the arena where my daughter worked with Maui and Paola on the riding basics. A helmet was provided. They played a couple games and practiced the days newly learned skills. There was a seating area for my younger daughter and I to watch and take pictures during the arena time. Lastly, we walked back to the stables and leaned how to take care of the horse post-ride. The girls were able to feed the horse one last time and wash hands before heading home. Paola was so kind and even sent us off with some oranges from their tree after some wonderful conversation. Such amazing people, we look forward to returning soon!
