McKinley Farms Riding Club

After a month of taking lessons at a different place I knew we needed to find something better suited for my new to riding and timid 7 year old and I am beyond happy we made the switch to McKinley Farm Riding Club. I knew the moment we walked in that this was going to be the place and every lesson since I am so grateful we made the switch. The growth I’ve seen in my daughter both on and off the horse is amazing. Her confidence in all her activities has grown exponentially and know it has everything to do with Carmel and Mrs. Robin. Ms. Robin is absolutely the best, her teaching style is so compassionate and positive it really makes a timid child like mine want to try and overcome her fears. She’s is great at going at the child pace and not pushing more than appropriate but helping them still progress. I love that part of the lesson is on horsemanship and how hands on they allow my daughter to learn horse care while still taking it slow. I think her favorite part may actually be taking care of the horse and ensuring their hooves are ok. You can tell the horses are well cared for and I also like how the barn does not smell and always feels clean, which feels like a tall task for a farm. Beyond grateful we found McKinley Farms.

We absolutely love McKinley Farms! Robin has been incredible with my 4-year-old, who dreams of being a cowboy. He’s learning to ride English style, and Robin’s patience and understanding of his short attention span are truly remarkable. She keeps him engaged while gently building his balance and confidence in the saddle. Robin is laying a strong foundation in riding by prioritizing safety, teaching proper horse care, and fostering a genuine love and respect for the animals. It’s more than just riding lessons—it’s an experience that’s helping him grow. We couldn’t ask for a better start to his equestrian journey!

Lovely farm for kids to nurture their equestrian journey! Beautiful horses who are given great care by Mr. & Mrs.McKinley who are truly amazing. Also Mrs.Robin is highly skilled to teach kids! Highly recommended place!
