The horse farm is a nice and peaceful place to visit, especially since it’s free to enter. It’s a good spot for families or anyone who enjoys being around animals and nature. The horses are beautiful and seem well cared for, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. However, there aren’t any special events, decorations, or activities to do, so after walking around and seeing the horses, there’s not much else to experience. It would be much better if they added a few attractions or events to make it more engaging. Overall, it’s worth a short visit, but not something you’d come back to often.

I had heard about the Buffalo soldiers here in Detroit over the years but I never knew where they were. I wanted to ride and looked up riding near me. The Heritage showed up only 19 minutes from me. I didn't get a chance to ride but I met some extraordinary people and plan on going back to visit.

I have scheduled maternity photoshoot with a horse, and they confirmed everything with me on Jan.25th, later it was snowing so I called them to reschedule and they confirmed Feb.01. I have also called again to make sure everything is all ready for us. They said yes everything is ready for the photoshoot and the weather was nice and sunny, even when I called to confirm everything they said it will be sunny lucky you, and the horses were all outside standing!! When I walked in they said we have nothing scheduled for you and I won’t be accommodating the photoshoot for you because no one told me to clean the horse! Both guys were rude and didn’t want to get up and try to help! They kept talking to us as of they don’t want to work!! And they said none of the horses are ready and they aren’t outside! Even though we saw the horses! We were so excited and ready to start the maternity photoshoot however they missed up the whole experience, because there is no communication between all of them!! And we have told them it’s not our fault that you guys didn’t communicate between your team and he raised his voice by saying " well we aren’t taking any horse out and who would do photoshoot with horse at this cold"

☺️ I just wished someone would answer the phone!!🤗 They're outside tending to the property so that's okay. I just like to talk on the phone!!😌 🎂 Either way, my birthday is tomorrow and I would like to spend the day here. I'm excited to see the horses, the park, and learn history about my people!! *✨*Update*✨*-->> We went to the Buffalo Soldiers and the area is so nice, so peaceful!! I truly forgot I was in the big Detroit city!! 💂🏾‍♂️We were greeted by one of the men there and explained to us where the entrance&parking was at because this is our first time. He understood. We were greeted with respect&politeness that is practically non-existent these days. 🏞️ This is very family&student oriented, a learning experience for everyone. Being raised in a military environment, I could see&feel the respect of the property, people, and the history of this beautiful place. 🐴 I had fruits&veggies for the horses, but they could only have the red🍎apples&🥕carrots, which they ate up so I have to bring more next time!! ☺️ Yes, there's a next time, & I'll enjoy having a picnic at the tables, sharing my food with the horses!! I had a lovely time&a very sweet birthday day!!

I really enjoyed my self Gloria and Jim were amazing. I had the honor of getting a few pointers from Gloria which really made me feel safe and comfortable. Both Gloria and Jim were extremely welcoming and informative. I love it here!

I took my grandchildren today and they were excited we had a wonderful time they learned so much you should all go there the people there are wonderful and very enlightening me
