Prettiest ponies, amazing staff, great place to hang out! Home away from home

I am an adult female who recently started taking lessons after a brief hiatus from riding. Elite Equine is a beautiful facility located at Garret Mountain Reservation - super quick and easy to get to/from Manhattan. Very nicely kept grounds. The lesson horses are sure-footed, healthy and sound, making you feel incredibly safe. The staff members are super friendly and the overall vibe of the barn is chill/relaxed. There are younger riders/students who help out around the barn and they are all very sweet. I highly recommend Elite Equine for new or experienced riders. I come from a background of 10+ years of competitive hunter jumping experience and my lessons have been a great reintroduction to riding while also providing me with a challenge. There also seem to be many young/new riders too - with the super sound lesson horses this would be a great facility for a young or novice rider to learn. I've observed riders from different disciplines - western, dressage, jumping, etc. Likely there is an instructor for whichever style of riding you're interested in. I am so happy to have found Elite Equine - it exceeded my expectations and has made getting back in the saddle such a joyful, relaxing experience. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent horse care. I drive 3 hours round trip each week because nothing closer to me compares in terms of the horse car amd the community of people. A barn of the highest standards of horse care and training and without attitude. Rare.

I've boarded three horses here for the last 18 months and have been thrilled with the quality of care and service. Sarah, Krista, and Ellen take great care of all the horses and riders in their care and the sense of community makes it a fun place to be.

Have been taking lessons there for several years. Always amazing and they are super flexible. Trail rides are so fun

My daughter takes horseback riding lessons there and also does summer camp. She loves it.
