Valley Chapel Farms

I’ve had my horse here for almost 7 years and I love it. The owners are kind people who take wonderful care of my horse, and have worked with me on all of his special health needs (he has many). I highly recommend boarding here!

We have kept our horse here since last fall. The owners put their all into this business and take care of all the horses as if they were their own. My horse has special needs, and they have always been quick and sure to make sure his needs are all met. The facilities are nice, with outdoor and indoor arenas and round pen. We have been very happy with this facility! A year later 5-29-16 and we still love this place. It just gets better!

Initially boarding here was a great fit. All needs were met: the scenery was gorgeous, and additional options like free-feeding and automatic watering were amazing! However, in the past few years the once robust care and attention to details at Valley Chapel has declined. To start, the horse paddocks are filthy and every trip has resulted in removing items like broken glass, wire, sharps, etc. Dietary needs for the safety of all horses have been ignored despite constant feedback and additional compensation. This has resulted in severe injury to horses. The care for horses left in pastures is close to non-existent as seen by their dropping weight and hooves not being treated sometimes resulting in vertical splits. The combination of horses for each pasture leaves more to be desired as the herds have been aggressive to myself, other visitors, and horses resulting in injury. It’s very difficult to find a safe barn to board your horse: this isn’t it.

Great place to keep horse young and old. Lisa and Norm are always working on some new project to make the place better and they always seem to be willing to help out with a special needs horse when asked, even if it's just dumping presoaked grain into a bucket so the horse can have two feeds and the owner doesn't have to run out more than once. Amazing people! I hope they stick around for a long time to come!

Everyone should know, the owners go way outta the normal barn care... I have never in my whole life training horses been so cared for, so unbelievably safe... from San Diego to Spokane WA... My car is rear 2 wheel drive.. makes it up to barn everytime in ice & snow.. Driveway etc always plowed....Thankful for the dusk to dawn lights... and we have cameras! Love this place!

I boarded at Valley Chapel for roughly a year after leaving Spokane Trail Rides where I was originally boarding when I moved to Spokane. I'm SOOO glad I moved to VC. Everything is better there, the pricing, the facilities, the hay, the pastures, the service. More importantly Lisa genuinely cares about the horses, it's not just a business. When she suspected my horse had colic she got him up and walked him until I could get out there, she offered banamine without charge and when I noticed my horse shivering she offered a spare blanket for him, again without extra charge. I was charged for EVERYTHING extra at Spokane Trail Rides. With Lisa being so accommodating and caring it made stressful situations so much easier to get through. She also spent hours trying to help me load my mustangs in the trailer when I was moving them out of state. All this and the fact that they have an indoor arena and accessible trails should make this facility an easy choice for anyone looking for an ideal place to board their horse(s).

Lisa is great, she genuinely cares about you and your horses. She is fair with her pricing, and there are plenty of places to ride. The indoor arena is an awesome way to get out of the rain, and to ride in when it gets dark early in the winter.
