This review is solely for the sheep herding that occurs on Thursdays. Jerry is a very knowledgeable guy and his team is all very nice. My main issue with it - and it was my first time there - was that I wasn't really told what to do. The first run, I was told to walk next to the assistant. So we just walked, side by side, with 3 tame sheep. We walked about 25 ft down and back. My dog lost interest. For the second run, which was 1 hour later, another assistant entered the run with me but I was not instructed to walk right next to him. Instead, he said we should split up with him on one side of the sheep and me on the other. We were trying to get my dog interested in the sheep as we were walking. Jerry informed me at the end of the run that I was not giving my dog a job to do because I was, in essence, helping the assistant herd the sheep. I appreciated the information but I was told that at the end and then led off the field. I didn't get a chance to re-do it the correct way, which I wouldn't have known in the first place. I had asked a bystander to help me record the second run. It was 3 min 41 seconds. All in all, 2 hours later, $60 got me a total of 7 min in the ring, which is hella expensive. I personally am disappointed and thought it was not worth it. I thought the typical run would be about 15 min each, for a total of 30 min. I can't recommend this place for sheep herding at its current state.
