I cannot express enough how amazing Messenger Hill Farm is! I 100% recommend it here, whether you are going back to the sport, researching new stables, or would like to introduce your child to the sport, (I have ridden at a handful of stables around the Chicago-land area) THIS IS THE SPOT. Nothing can compare to this stable or Lindsey as an instructor! It has been a quest trying to find a stable I truly love and enjoy. Once I met Lindsey, I knew it was the perfect stable for me. Lindsey was able to improve my riding and confidence in the sport because she understands not only each horse individually, but the rider themselves. Being able to not only observe the horses, but the riders, she is able to decipher what is going well versus what changes need to be made in order to improve and accurately refine the execution of the rider's technique. She is an amazing person and instructor!

I wanted to get back into riding and was referred to Messenger Hill Farm by my brother’s fiancé. She had worked for them at one point during her career! MHF came highly recommended and has far exceeded my expectations. They take the sport to the next level. They tailor your training and goals to you and your horse/horses individually. They help you set realistically goals and work towards obtaining them at the appropriate pace. They not only have made me a better equestrian but they matched me with my dream horse! Everyone that works for MHF is impeccable. I will be forever grateful for the path that lead me to this farm! I can't say enough positive things. World-class riding program for serious students who want to compete. My daughter has been in the program for over a year. She has grown as a person and athlete, and loved her first show this summer, placing reserve champion. Lindsay is exceptional at instruction, hitting the right note, and extremely dedicated, trustworthy and competent. The horses are hard-working, safe, kind and funny 😆 -- everyone has a good time -- while doing serious stuff. I highly recommend this program for beginners or advanced riders alike.

My daughter began taking riding lessons with Lindsey Oaks at Messenger Hill Farm 6 years ago. Our family had no previous equestrian experience before this but we are very thankful that Lindsey shaped her experience. I am consistently impressed with Lindsey’s obvious expertise, her instruction style and her attention to detail to technique and style. She sets high, but achievable, standards and continually challenges her students as they achieve and exceed those goals.
