Excellent place to take lessons. Their horses are well-trained and well cared for. Their trainers are top notch. I decided to learn to ride a bit late in life, but Deborah and her team have been super patient and supportive of me. They helped me build foundational skills and knowledge, which grew my confidence. And now they challenge me at just the right time. Last week I cantered for the first time - it was AWESOME! Highly recommend coming here to learn/improve your riding skills and to have fun in the process!
What a lovely facility. Very clean, orderly and well maintained. The owners Jim and Deborah were extremely pleasant and accommodating. We were even given a tour around the neighborhood, via golf cart to show us all the wild horses in the area. I highly recommend Reno Tahoe equestrian for long term or for just an over night stay. You and your horses won’t be disappointed.
The gate opens automatically, so just wait a few minutes to drive in. They prefer people enter through the clubhouse, which is spacious and has a lot of trophies from riding. I got to speak with the owner, and he is cool. He showed me around since I arrived about 30 min before my lesson, and when I got to look around I noticed that each horse has their own tack and grooming equipment, and the riders who are regulars there or train new riders have their lockers for their gear, but the center has boots you can borrow if you don't have a pair of your own. It also has helmets you can borrow. The lesson itself begins with grooming the horse you will ride, then applying tack and saddle. After that you ride. They teach green riders , like me, up to shows and events. After the riding is done you de-tack your horse and groom them, then you pay the instructor who trained you. There are three instructors who take students to the arena, and two who watch over all the arena. Mia, who is my instructor, did very well, as she is consistent and patient. The horses here are experienced, and have won awards in shows, so they are excellent trainers, too, and the center uses a mounting block, which makes getting on easier and safer.
Incredible indoor facility with a focus on the happiness of the horses and the safety of the riders. Great and experienced trainers, capable of taking you to any level- whether just learning how to ride or ready to go and show. I’ve been here for 10 years and counting and it is my second home!
These good people did everything they could to accommodate our daughters last minute birthday party. They (Jim & Deborah) were a little tough to get a hold of, but these guys are nonstop worker bee's. They did return my calls and emails. Large facility, friendly staff, a very welcoming dog named "Bear". They are very knowledgeable and gave an excellent tour and educational experience. Hands down would return without looking for a better deal or closer place to my home. Down to earth good folks. Was an absolute pleasure giving them my money, made my daughter feel extra special. Thank you guys, we will see you again.
Everyone here is so nice I have been going since I was nine and I have been having so much fun riding all the horses, Riley is my trainer and she is so sweet to me, I love everyone else there cuz they all have such a good friendship with each other and the horses, it just makes going there 100% better. It is the most fun I have on weekends and I'm always so excited to go❤️🐴 I have learned so much and I hope to work there one day😊
RTEC is a great place with friendly people and wonderful horses! Every time I enter the barn I feel at home. Safety is always a priority, as well as learning and having fun. I’ve been taking lessons for about five years, and I’ve learned so much! I couldn’t be more grateful.
