My daughter has been doing a week long horse camp for the last 3 years. Amazing.. but if you want a princess camp with only riding this isn't for you. They teach and expect the kids to do the hard work that goes along with riding and horse care. They do everything from picking up poop, grooming (hoofs & brushing), walk the horses from the field to the riding arena, they tack up the horse-then ride. The riding instruction is solid. my daughter only rides here during the summer week- so i don't have much to say about ongoing training. Now she has a solid understanding of riding- and all the hard work that goes along with it. She will be 11 this year.. and can't wait to go every year. She loves it- but also understands that it isn't easy work- She comes home exhausted and sweaty 🙂 She goes to the non-beginner camp now and they do "horse soccer" and lots of riding in the arena. She bonds with the her horse for the week because she has to take care of him. They are strict , but very encouraging with the girls. If you are coming from northern burbs- its worth the money and drive because its a full day like 9-4.Totally recommend.

Had a wonderful day here doing the adult horse camp with Carolyn. I was a little nervous being that I’m still fairly new to riding, but she was very patient and supportive. You can tell she really takes pride in what she does! I learned a lot and feel more comfortable with horses after a day of camp. The facility is just beautiful and very clean and professional. The horses all look healthy and very well cared for. I hope to come back sometime soon!

Moved into this facility in August 2013 with 8 show horses after extensive discussion and written agreement of services. Our horses were charged a higher rate than current boarders and investment was made in the property for individual turnouts. Agreement stated that monies would be refunded if paddocks not built in 6 months. Paddocks took well over 6 months. Additional charges began to appear on our statement for overage of shavings usage which appeared to be random. charges for NOT turning our horses out in lightening storms, -20 degree wind-chill. Protective turnout gear was routinely not put on as agreed. Regular maintenance of the arena was not done as agreed which led to hard and uneven footing and several lameness issues for several boarders. Hay contaminated with Black patch was fed our horses which led to slobbers. Even after identified and advised by our vet to discontinue feeding, facility continued to do so. Electrical issues occurred in the water troughs in turnout which was shocking the horses when they drank. One horse refused to drink from the waterer after corrected and owner was charged to put out a bucket daily. There are several facilities in the area that provide high quality and dependable service, this just isn't one of them

Wonderful atmosphere for horses and humans. The staff takes great care of the horses and the lessons are very informative. The barn is lovely and extremely clean.

If you want to truly experience horses, learn to communicate with them, and enjoy them for the amazing teachers they are, this is the place. The owner and trainer (head mare), is a master of equestrian education, with a natural gift of teaching and relating to students of all levels and backgrounds. Each student is given horses and lessons based on ability. Be prepared to learn to groom, care for and ride horses. Lessons are worth their weight in gold. Be prepared to learn more about yourself than you thought possible. The horses are treated and cared for like family. The horses are given excellent healthcare, nutrition based on their own unique need, and an abundance of love and attention. This barn offers traditional and non-traditional physical therapy for the horses from myofacial release, to chiropractic adjustments, and stretches to treat mind, body and spirit. I've been part of this barn family for over 7 and a half years as has my daughter. We are truly blessed to have found the greatest place on earth as our first and only barn. There is no need to go any place else.

The facility is indeed "first class" but it's the owner and trainer's knowledge and experience that set it apart from the others. I have been at her farm since before my horse was born there - 26 years!
